SUCCESSFUL CLUB

How to Create A Successful Club –

                                       Be Distinguished or Bust!

this year. The answer? There was a burning desire Back to the original question—how have we
to get it done! earned so many goals this year? I believe it’s
It all started when the group was discussing because we are a mutually supportive group

Joyce is our VP of Education and
      incoming President. Marvin
is our Sergeant at Arms and
      incoming VP of Education. We
      have a powerhouse leadership
      team! Joyce Nikula
Our group has really impressed me with
their drive and desire to reach their goals. For
example, LeRoy Nollette, current Club President
and a member of over 40 years in Toastmasters, L to R: Linda Cox, Ernie Yoder, Joyce Nikula and Jason Potter
      discovered that Toastmasters International had
lost his earlier records. He started over, and
currently holds ACS and CL awards. Many others
are working on their awards this year.
We believe that following the Club Success
Plan and the Distinguished Club Plan are the best
ways to obtain club and personal goals. We’ve
earned 10 out of 10 club goals.
         Newberg Toastmasters meets Fridays between
      6:45am and 7:45am. We’ve often wondered
if our meeting time contributes to member
retention issues. This year we dropped from L to R: Marvin Walker, Linda Cox, Janelle Nordyke, Tana
20 to 14 members—but we are nearly back to Franko
