September 20th is the deadline for submitting your video. On October 22nd
you will receive a link to the You Tube video then we will all work to make it go viral. What part of the
world will our video reach? How many views will we garner?

Competitive Speakers PDX is one of a number of clubs started around the country by Ryan Avery,
DTM, 2012 World Champion of Public Speaking. It was chartered to
improve the quality and quantity of competitive speakers around the
world.

Redhawk Squawkers was started by Toastmaster Julie Eddings. This is
the Air National Guard’s club.

Sporty Speakers was started by Toastmasters Bill Hernandez and

Patrick Tuohy. This is the second club on the Nike Campus. Competitive Speakers holds its first contest.

Toastmasters and Clack-Orators are both closed clubs.

We wish much success to all our new clubs. We have more new clubs coming in September.

Chartering a Club. . . If you have an idea for a new club submit the idea to Leanna Lindquist, DTM Lt.
Governor Marketing at lgm@d7toastmasters.org Rewards will be forth coming if a kickoff meeting is
held and more will follow if the club charters.
