Driving all the way from Lubbock, Texas (just for District 7), are Past International
Presidents Jana and Robert Barnhill. They are leaving Tuesday morning for their 3400
mile round trip to Oregon. I will no longer complain about driving
from West Linn all the way to Hillsboro. It is humbling to
think these busy people are willing to take this much time
out of their busy lives to spend a day with us.
Who should not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity??
Club officers
Directors
New members
Seasoned members
If the Barnhills can carpool from Texas I am confident our members can carpool from
Medford, Bend or Longview. This is your opportunity to start off the year with a bang.
" . . . ;a sense of humor can be a great help—particularly a sense of
humor about (oneself). William Howard Taft joked about his own cor-
pulence and people loved it; took nothing from his inherent dignity.
Lincoln eased tense moments with bawdy stories, and often poked
fun at himself—and history honors him for this human quality. A
sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with
people, of getting things done." — Dwight D. Eisenhower
