clubs and district officers. We carried information about district level policies and
programs to our clubs. In the reverse, we worked with clubs to support them in
achieving their club goals and provide assistance in solving problems or concerns
related to the optimal performance of each club.

As the end of my term rapidly

approaches, I am looking forward to

using what I've learned this year. My

Toastmaster toolkit bulges with new

tools acquired during 2014–2015. I

feel more intensely connected to

District 7, and a greater sense of the

value of my membership in

Toastmasters International. Working L to R, Rita Childs, Erik Bergman, Kay Watson, and Carrie Henderson on
with such competent leaders has stage at Willamette Division contest

taught me skills that increase my confidence both as a speaker and a leader. I am more

competent in communication, assessment and follow up.

This opportunity to serve allowed me to meet with 100+ Toastmasters, all working
together to improve both themselves and their clubs. I feel the satisfaction of our team
working together to create multiple successes throughout our division. And, perhaps the
greatest benefit has been to see the bigger picture of Toastmasters International. This
organization is the best value on the planet Earth. The speaking and leadership training
available to us for under $100 annually amazes me.

Toastmasters is most definitely the place where leaders are made.

Kay Watson joined Milwaukie Talkies in May 2012. She is currently serving as VP Education. She is also
serving as Willamette Division, Area 63 governor.
