Never Know Who You Will Meet at TV Toastmasters

Monday, May 11th was business as usual at TV Toastmasters. It takes a village to produce
a 30-minute TV program. All programs start with two hosts bantering back and forth. Co-
hosts for this show was our newest member, Jesse Martinez, and Darren Lacroix, 2001
World Champion of Public Speaking. The highlight of the program was Darren’s
interview with Libra Forde, our District 7 International
Speech Contest winner. Libra will be going to the
Semifinals of the World Championship of Public
Speaking in August at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

The Talent: Libra Forde & Darren LaCroix
At TV Toastmasters, those in in
front of the camera are called The Talent. The
production crew runs the camera, sound and
teleprompter from the booth.
TV Toastmasters meets the 2nd Monday of
the month at TVCTV, Tualatin Valley Cable
TV in Beaverton. Members are encouraged L to R: Jesse Martinez , Darren LaCroix
to take the low-cost classes provided by
TVCTV in order to work in the control booth. Trained members are allowed to check out
video cameras, lights, microphones. Film editing classes are also available.
If you want to develop skills behind or in front of the camera, come and visit us at our
