End of the Trail . . .
Phyllis Harmon, DTM, PDG - Publisher/Editor
In August 2014, as District 7 Director, I founded Voices! as a way to
bring members together—to build a community of understanding and to
unite us in common cause. The magazine has had a spectacular run—9
years and 107 issues. It has been a labor of love, hate, and education. Each
month I learned new techniques—some forgotten and now remembered,
laughed at the outragious comedies, and empathized with the stories of
struggle and success that were published for all to read.
It is now time for a new chapter, a different path, and new editors. I
have been running out of steam for the project for nearly a year. It took
the death of my spouse last January to firm up my resolve, to see that
it was time to pass this torch to someone new. I am thankful that Leela
Seeber and Jennifer Schmidt are ready to move forward with a new
vision for the magazine.
This is the last issue of the current magazine and I retire with it.
Like all coaches and mentors, I will be in the shadows helping those EDITORIAL
who follow to be succcessful as they step into new roles as co-editors/
publishers. Thank you to everyone who supported this work with their
words of encouragement, wisdom, and contributions to the magazine's
success over the past nine years. It would not have survived and gained
a worldwide following without you.
