Program Quality Director
I love Toastmasters! It has been wonderful I moved to Program Quality Director
to learn to speak in a supportive environment, (PQD) in July, fully intending to continue
to embrace feedback instead of criticizing into the second of the three years we serve
myself for being less than perfect, and to as District Trio members. Trio roles have a
watch fellow members gain the confidence significant time commitment. The PQD’s
and interview skills to land jobs that change priorities are planning and executing TLIs, the
their lives. Annual Conference, and monthly trainings.
When I was asked to run for Club Growth I also wanted to do an HPL project to inspire
Director last year, I stepped up to support our members to form Mastermind Teams to
District. Just like getting speech evaluations, I accelerate their communication and/or
learned so much from the things that went well leadership skill development. I envisioned a
and especially from the things that didn’t. I structure with different types of teams that
realized great leaders first inspire, then support decide what their objectives are, then work
and guide. I learned about the leadership with and support each other, and then evaluate
pipeline that goes from Club to Area, Division, what they accomplished and what they didn’t.
District, Region and International. We grow As I closed in on who might be in
in these leadership roles if we are conscious Mastermind Teams, I got really excited. Rather
about it, if we look at our objectives, commit than writing out speeches alone to give once
to what we will do and evaluate what goes well, in front of their club, teams that work on
what we can improve, and what to challenge speaking could bounce ideas and practice with
ourselves to do next time. The skills we develop each other. Maybe Division or Area Directors
help us succeed as leaders in our workplace will want to maximize their leadership
and any organization.
