Here’s my challenge to you: Join me and step up your efforts to promote Toastmasters
in 2015-16. Step up for yourself, your club and your District. Telling the world about
Toastmasters will take all of us. Start by sending me your lead as to where we can start
a new club. A lead means the name of a company or community group and a contact
person there. Yes, there’s an incentive prize if your lead turns into a launch meeting
to start a new club. To achieve our goal of one new club per area, or 37 new clubs this
year, I need all the help I can get!
Email me at erikb@waggeneredstrom.com to step up. Marketing, events, parades, club
launches, club coaching and mentoring — all these and more will help raise our profile.
Let’s make Toastmasters shine like never before. It’s our turn in the spotlight.
Now That’s Recognition. . .
By Phyllis Harmon, DTM
I was kicked back in my recliner
the other evening after spending a
long day on District 7 business. The
telephone rang, and Mohammad
Murad, Toastmasters International
President, was on the line! He called
simply to congratulate me for
District 7 becoming a Distinguished
District. I felt honored on your
behalf. Two days later, I received
a similar call from Patrick Oei,
International Director Region 14,
congratulating me on a job well
done. Both men are the epitomy of
success—not only in Toastmasters
but in their professional careers.
It is indeed an honor to be
recognized for the achievements
each and everyone of us make.
Congratulations for a job well
done!
