It’s a Wrap. . .

Club Growth Director

The Willamette Division enjoyed a strong year in 2014-15
by any measure. We raised the number of clubs to 26 by
chartering three new clubs: Clackamas County, Clack-Orators
and Toast To US. We became a President’s Distinguished
Division, thanks in part to the astonishing achievements in Area 63, in which all five clubs
achieved Select Distinguished or better status.

Three of the four District 7 speech contests winners this past year came from clubs in
Willamette Division:
• Humorous Speech: Kathleen Sabella, Toastmasters for Speaking Professionals
• Evaluation: Brinn Hemmingson, Portland Progressives
• International Speech:

Libra Forde, Babble-On

All this took work, time
and care. I want to
thank the team of Area
Governors — Rita Childs,
Carrie Henderson, Kay
Watson, Robyn Knox and
Ann Kroetch — who made
the year so enjoyable and
successful. Thank you
also to all club members,
club officers and District
leaders for your helping
hands, wise words and encouragement all along the way.

Already Willamette Division Director Kathleen Tully and her 2015-16 team are planning
officer training and looking ahead to contest season. Let’s help them make it another
exceptional year as the mighty Willamette Division rolls on.
