Opportunity is knocking. Will you answer?

District 7 Leadership opportunities are now open

            Lorri Andersen, DTM, MS
            Immediate Past District Director

It’s that time of year again for District Leadership Nominations!
We need to start early as it takes time to complete the full process and conduct the interviews.

I have had the opportunity to sit through three candidate interviews where I was the one being asked the
questions. The interviews were supportive, yet I knew the importance of stepping into District leadership.
The District Leadership Committee has an important job. They work hard during this process, under-
standing all the roles and responsibilities, interviewing candidates, and nominating who they feel will do
            the job well.

Would you like to learn a new skill (leadership) while you are helping others grow and learn?
District leadership will enable you to do that, it is one of the most fulfilling and rewarding ventures a per-
son can do. If you are working toward your Distinguished Toastmasters Award, DTM, District leadership
            is a requirement.

I hope there are many Candidates to interview. I encourage anyone who is interested but feels unsure, to
please come and talk to me. Your journey of leadership is just beginning. Thank you for your service, I am
glad we are on this journey together.

Paul Fanning was a stalwart member of several Toastmasters clubs over the years. A founding
member of Downtown Lunch Bunch, President of Feedbackers, Division Director, Area Director,
Club Coach Coordinator, Administration Manager, 2016-2017 Area Director of the Year, mentor
and coach for members and clubs, long-time contributor to Voices! magazine, and avid historian
and collector of memorabilia. Paul loved learning, sharing his adventures, and connecting with
the wider world. His departure leaves a hole in the hearts and minds of those who shared his
                 universe. Farewell Paul.
