Got Toilet Paper?

        Phyllis Harmon, DTM

I heard on television today that Costco won’t take back unused

toilet paper when the Covid-19 panic subsides. My goodness!
What is the world coming to when a major grocery chain
(who takes back almost everything) refuses to take back
        hoarded goods?

I’ve been giving this problem considerable thought. What could be done
with all that paper? Like some, you could put it on Ebay with a hefty markup
(of course that window is only open during the panic). I’ve always wanted
a soundproofed room for creating videos. Rolls nailed to the walls should

work (though I doubt they’d do double duty as a green screen!). Or, for the
unendowed, a roll stuffed here or there could make all the difference.
And just think about portable furniture. Consider light-weight chairs on
the patio (best used in sunny climates) or decorative legs on a home-built desk.

No sense in purchasing one of those expensive sit-to-stand workstations. Add
or remove rolls of paper until you get the height ju-u-u-st right!
Of course, you could use them as a mattress for the in-laws once social EDITORIAL
distancing guidelines are revoked. Guaranteed they won’t overstay their

welcome. On a smaller scale, make them into cabbage roses for a beautiful
floral display (take the sheets off the roll first—duh!). Draped across the table
as a table covering for your next sit-down meal, toilet paper would make for
interesting table dialogue and as serviettes (how practical)!

As you can see, there are many uses for unused toilet paper beyond the
obvious. My fervid brain continues to invent new ideas! Whatever you do
with your stash, just know that it loses it’s value once
the panic has ended. By the way (I hate to ask) . . . can

you spare a roll or two or thirty?
