The above list doesn’t tell the whole story.
Equally important is attitude. Our members
are willing to go that extra mile to help others
succeed. I think of Babble-On as a “seed club” for
District leaders. Babble-On members have gone
on to become District Governor, Lt. Governor of
Marketing (now known as Club Growth Director),
District Treasurer, District Parliamentarian, and
numerous Division and Area Directors. We have
volunteered to help and present breakout sessions
at TLIs and District conferences.
Another important indicator of our success
is the recognition our members have received (twice), Rookie of the Year (twice), Herb C. Stude
for their service to the District, including Educational Service Award (twice), and Dick
Toastmaster of the Year, Lou Webb Award Moser Award. Members have also received a
number of “D7 Spirit Awards” to recognize their
contributions to the District.
Put it all together, and that’s how we define
success at Babble-On Toastmasters.
Babble-On Toastmasters Club meets every
Sunday (except holiday weekends) at the
Evergreen Community Church, 935 NE 33rd
Ave, Portland, OR 97232, 4:00-5:30 pm. Visitors
are always welcome!
