I love the beginning of a new Toastmasters year. The Senior Editor
end-of-year, frenetic acitivities of signing up those last needed
members, submtting the last educational awards, and getting Phyllis Harmon, DTM
club officer names recorded at Toastmasters International are
done. Give yourselves a round of applause for a job well done! Associate Editors
As with each new year, we review what we accomplished the Leanna Lindquist, DTM
prior year, build on our successes and learn from our almost Donna Stark, DTM
wins. The same is true with Voices!. Each year, I look at what we Cathy French, ACG, CL
published the prior year, and try to determine which columns
to continue and which to drop. Your help in making those Layout/Design
decisions is requested and appreciated.

Beginning with this issue, I’m asking for your feedback. Curtis Low
I’ve included a Feedback Form link, asking you to rate the
columns you’ve read. I’ve also included a comments section 2016-17 Officers
so that you can share your views.
District Director
Also beginning with this issue, you will find “Focusing
on Feedback”—a letters to the editor page where I will share Leanna Lindquist, DTM
your comments and offer responses. The column “Journeys,”
which highlights someone from the District each month, will Program Quality Director
be written by Brinn Hemmingson. If you or someone you
know should be highlighted, please add your suggestions in Donna Stark, DTM
the comment section of the Feedback Form link. I’ve added a
Public Relations column which will focus on tips to help you Club Growth Director
publicize club events, member awards, great speeches, and
member accomplishments both in and out of Toastmasters. Cathy French, ACG, CL
Some other ideas I’d like to incorporate include an author’s Finance Manager
corner for books written by Toastmasters, more articles written
by members of the worldwide Toastmasters community, and Jill Ward, ACB, ALB
perhaps a column dedicated to members helping members
with tips and techniques to help us improve our communca- Administrative Manager
tion and leadership skills. I am also researching how to make
the magazine easier to access on mobile devices and searching Rodger Cook, ACB, ALB
out opportunitites to develop a wider audience using online
resources. Public Relations Manager
