Early Fall Renewals Earn Prizes

There’s nothing like an incentive to spur clubs to renew their members. These 15 clubs
will enjoy a book from District 7 for their speedy renewals of at least 8 members. And 5
Area Directors will win the same for being the first to have all clubs in their area beat the
deadline. All will be mailed a copy of Start With Why by Simon Sinek.

The club winners are A-Dec, Civil Tongues, Electric Toasters, Feedbackers, Flying Toasters
(Portland), Flying Toasters (Salem), Marylhurst, New Horizons, Passport to Leadership,
Siuslaw Tale Spinners, Swan Island, Testmasters, Toastmasters of the Universe,
Wallmasters and West Beaverton.

Area Director winners are Emilie Watson, Area 65; Chapin Zakrzewski, Area 54; Ken
Smith, Area 41; Lisa Hutton, Area 63; and Darrin Class, Area 82. Kudos to all!

Club Coach Corner

It’s a Toastmasters tradition to step up when asked to lead. Allison Bennett, CC, has
done just that to become the District 7 Club Coach Coordinator. If your club has 12
or fewer members, a coach can help your club grow. She will match your club with a
coach, but one of your club officers must ask! If you are an experienced Toastmaster
and working toward your Advanced Leader Silver Award, coaching could be right for
you.

Another chance to grow is as a club mentor. Mentors serve new clubs to make sure
they start their Toastmasters journeys on the right foot. Two clubs that are about to
charter in in downtown Portland need mentors, and there will be more such clubs to
come. Each club can have up to 2 mentors. Interested? Send your club coach or club
